My home is in this wonderful, relaxing area of Virginia Beach.  Enjoy relaxing on the Chesapeake Bay while having the convenience of wonderful restaurants and recreation nearby.  Flounder fishing along the Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel and jet skiing are some of the most popular water sports in the area.  Skim boarding and sand-dune competitions are the kids' favorite activities. To summarize briefly, Phase 1 of the Shore Drive improvements has begun to begin construction of a multipurpose trail on the south side of Shore Drive, waterfront enhancements on Pleasure House Creek, upgraded pedestrian signals at First Court Rd/Baylake Rd/ and Marlin Bay Dr/Shady Oaks Dr. intersections. Also, the Lesner Bridge Replacement Project has been budgeted for $1,000,000 and will include pedestrian crossings, lighting, and expansion up to 6 lanes.
